Homemade, modern American cuisine featuring prime steaks, grass-fed beef, and all other fare both simple and refined in a historic 1788 grist mill. Tuthill House at the Mill Restaurant & Tavern's menu is inspired by fresh, local artisan products and ingredients of the Hudson Valley as prepared by executive chef Jared Krom.
The bar at Tuthill House Restaurant is the first avenue into a glass for the pioneering distillery next door. Behind the bar, head barman Darren Joseph creates experimental cocktails that bring local spirits and ingredients into new and delicious combinations, as well as giving life to the best expression of classic cocktails.
Our weddings and events team is standing by to help you plan your special day with superior service and amenities. We have several different beautiful locations on the property, giving you some options when deciding where to host your ceremony and reception. All the event spaces at the Gristmill, built back in 1788, have beautiful views of the River and the sounds of flowing water provide a tranquil backdrop for your day
The deck is perfectly suited for groups of up to 100 people. Your reception tent will be over the river in this location. Situated right next to the historic mill restaurant with great views of the river and Brandt's Falls where the water still flows out from under the Mill.
For larger groups we use the lawn. Here your reception tent will be on the banks of the Shawangunk-kill River. If you would prefer to be indoors we can offer you the upstairs for groups of up to 50 people and the entire house upon request. Indoors we still have all the original mill fixtures and the architecture original through out the building, leaving a wonderfully unique and historic atmosphere We would like to invite you to visit our property and would be very happy to show you the site and allow you to sample our chef’s creations, inspired by Italian and American country cooking, featuring fresh, local artisan products and ingredients of the Hudson Valley.
